Raining yesterday, so here's another shot from while I was pursuing the heron. This is facing north, to the coast mountains on the mainland.

Morning Heron

I took a bunch of pictures of this heron seated on the rock, but I think the one I like best is this one of it taking off. It kept moving down the beach, as it was afraid of the dog pulling on my arm while I was trying to take the picture. Looks kind of like a sunset picture, but it was actually mid-morning. Photo is taken on the beach between Ocean Resort and Salmon Point Resort. Photo is unedited.
